No matter where you sit in the real-estate industry, you’re bound to be a very busy individual. Those of us who chose this field tend to be hard-working, self-motivated go-getters. But even the most driven of us need a break occasionally, even if it’s only for a few hours — which is why I took some time out yesterday to look at what’s happening at the Seattle International Film Festival. Unfortunately, I was too late to see it at the festival, but I got really excited when I ran across The Architect.
OK, maybe not everyone’s idea of a break is to step away from your career for a few moments to watch a film about your career. Nevertheless, when I read the description it really struck me that this is probably a good movie to go see:
a comedy about the many challenges of making a good home
First of all, I’m glad it’s a comedy, because the IMDb description wasn’t exactly clear on that. Second of all, I think we can all empathize with “a married couple going through the stress of buying a new house”.
The May 20th SIFF showing was the initial release of The Architect, and I can’t find dates for future theatrical releases, but I’ll definitely be keeping my eye open for it. In the meantime, I’ll put my nose back to the grindstone, but if nothing else, hopefully this post has reminded you that we all need to take a break — even if it is only for a few hours. It’s amazing what getting your head out of the game for a little while can do.
