A January poll of Americans in the market for buying a home found 68 percent of respondents believe the real-estate market and property values will recover in the next year or two, up from 47 percent in a similar survey conducted in April 2010. The poll also reveals that 58 percent of consumers are optimistic about buying and 59 percent said they were excited about purchasing a home due to the momentum of the economic recovery. Among respondents, 68 percent said they were cautious about investing in a home but 86 percent said, despite the volatility of the past few years, they believe real estate is a good investment.
