According to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey, mortgage application volume increased 14.6 percent last week on a seasonally adjusted basis. The survey also showed interest rates for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages dropping from 5.03 percent to 4.95 percent, helping boost refinancing requests 17.2 percent. More here.
